Trans extremists have so twisted their own language that they can
no longer use it to defend – or even explain – their own position.
I listened recently to a debate about transexuality in which a woman was asked if she believed that “men can have babies”. Her answer was a prompt and unqualified, “Yes, I do.”
I was trying to figure out how to explain such a ludicrous position. She had to be either stupid enough to not understand what she was saying, psychotic enough to believe it or enough of a moral coward to say it even though she knew it wasn’t true. I could think of no other possibilities.
However, she clearly was not too stupid to understand what she was claiming. She had clearly, and correctly, anticipated the question. She went on to argue the issue as eloquently as such a ludicrous and self-contradictory position could be argued. The mental incompetence defense wouldn’t hold.
So, I supposed psychosis was a possibility, but there was no other support for it. She perceived, reacted to and clearly understood the situation around her. If she were psychotic, her Trans Delusion was the only obvious symptom.
As I pondered the sad possibility of a shocking level of moral cowardice, I thought that must surely be the answer. What else could possibly cause her to so blatantly lie about holding an irrational belief that no rational person – which she appeared to be – could possibly hold? As I continued to ponder it, I wondered, “If she doesn’t believe what she’s saying, then what does she believe?” Is there a consistent set of beliefs that could possibly explain this contradiction?
And then I saw it. Of course she knows perfectly well that only women can have babies! But she apparently also believes that any woman, including even a woman having a baby, can choose to pretend to be a man. Allegedly this “transition” is justified anytime a woman “feels” like a man (how would she know?). This is apparently supposed to let her become her “true self”, by ardently denying who she actually and verifiably truly is. So, that’s kinda funny, right?
Well anyway, that’s still not a position I agree with, but at least the proposition that a woman should be allowed to pretend she’s a man can be rationally debated, because it doesn’t require jettisoning obvious facts and fundamental rationality as a prerequisite to the conversation.
But when and if a woman does choose to pretend to be a man, our debate hero apparently believes that she also has to pretend that such a ludicrous claim is true. This is apparently necessary because anyone who doesn’t play along is “transphobic” and hence a horrible person, who deserves to be ostracized.
And here’s the funny part. You see, she can’t explain that this is what she actually believes, because it would require her to acknowledge that the “man” having the baby is not a man at all, but a woman pretending to be man. So, rather than explain, "Only women can have babies, but they can pretend to be men while doing it", she chooses to look and sound like a psychotic idiot by claiming, unconditionally and without reservation, that men can have babies. Now that’s hilarious.
And, of course, it also constitutes a shocking level of moral cowardice.
