Yup, that's what I said. On April 19th the mayor of Venice became so concerned about... well, about something, apparently... that he felt it necessary to fill a skate park with sand so that it couldn't be used.

The next day, local park users showed up with hand tools to undo what bulldozers had done. They ended up moving all the sand to one side of the park to use it as a bicycle "moto-cross" style track.

These kids should be running Venice or, better yet, all of LA County, rather than the current tyrannical control freaks. When given lemons, civil government sprinkled rat poison over them to make sure no one could eat them. The citizenry made lemonade from theirs within 24 hours. More power to them. Literally.
